This book will show you how to make your own musical instruments. The instruments in this book are all members of the clarinet family. I have developed these designs and measurements over the last 25 years and included in this book are 13 of the instruments with various tunings and materials.
The materials for the instruments in this book are easily available from Australian hardware stores or irrigation suppliers. Other countries may not have exactly the same tubes and pipes, but dimensions are included so that you can hopefully find equivalent materials. The inside and outside diameters of all pipes used are included in the individual instrument measurement tables.
Photos of each instrument are included as well as links to video clips of the instruments being played. There are also embedded audio files for most of the instruments.
This file is an Epub version and contains embedded media which is not supported by all eBook readers. It is a fixed layout ePub 3 file which are readable by iBooks and also Google Play Books. Although an international standard some programmes may not be able to read this file…
There are an increasing number of ways to open and read fixed layout EPUB3 files on tablets, Mac/PC and mobile devices. Apple offer iBooks freely for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The Kobo Arc device supports fixed layout EPUB3 and Kobo make reading Apps for a range of devices including Android tablets. Sony make the fixed layout EPUB3 Reader Extension for Android and new devices expected soon. The IDPF makes Readium – an open source EPUB3 which brings fixed layout reading to Mac, PC and mobile via the browser.
Also available in the shop is a PDF version that has links to external video files but no embedded audio. It is universally readable.
